BIOGRAPHY / THE DEBBIE ROSS BAND is a multi-talented musical entertainment group organized since the early '90s. This dynamic band features Debbie Ross as lead vocalist who commands a powerful singing voice which she delivers with abundant confidence. Accompanying Ms. Ross is an equally talented and diverse group of musicians whose individual musical backgrounds and skills have been brought together collectively to produce a band of outstanding quality and sound. Their well-known repertoire of songs ranges from the instrumental melodies of smooth JAZZ to the familiar Iyrics, harmonies, and dance rythms of R&B, flavored of course, by the band's own unique style of playing.

From their early beginnings, The Debbie Ross Band has been privileged with a number of memorable experiences and honored achievements. The Band performed in concert as the opening act for the former musical director of the Tonight Show Band, Doc Severinsen.

In a television expose entitled "Hittin the Big Time: Central Illinois' Best Bands", The Debbie Ross Band was selected to be featured and interviewed in an entertainment news segment produced and aired by NewsChannel 20, an NBC affiliate in Springfield.

The Illinois Times, a weekly published community newspaper, voted the Band as central Illinois' best bar band for three consecutive years.

Another local entertainment publication, The Springfield Magazine, also featured The Debbie Ross Band as the best local band of central Illinois.

It's no wonder that this group's crowd-pleasing performances has earned them quite a popular reputation and consistent following.

Perhaps the more noteworthy of their accomplishments as a group began when the Band performed for former President George H. Bush during his campaign visit to Illinois' capital city. Their credibility as an outstanding entertainment group grew immediately from this springboard of opportunity. Shortly thereafter, former Vice-president Dan Quayle specifically requested The Debbie Ross Band to travel with him during his campaign tour around the country. In expression of his appreciation, Mr. Quayle made favorable mention of the Band in his autobiography. From then, the Band was referred to Senator Bob Dole to perform in several locations during his presidential race and tour of central Illinois. The Debbie Ross Band also has had the distinct privilege of performing for two Illinois governors at various political functions. And as recent as 2002, the Band played to the audience of President George W. Bush during a stop in Springfield.

Through their continuous exposure, The Debbie Ross Band has been and is one of the most sought after public and private entertainment groups in the area. So, whether you have heard them before or are hearing them for the first time, and you are looking for quality, variety, and just plain great music, come and experience the trademark sound of THE DEBBIE ROSS BAND.
